Terre Roche, Sidiki Condé, Marlon Cherry - "Afro-Jersey" - are crafting their first CD of homemade tunes merging their Afro-Centric and American Punk-Folk talents and sensibilities. The CD will be released in the Summer of 2013. Stay tuned here for more details.
Terre ran a couple campaigns through Kickstarter and Indiegogo to raise funding for the CD. The time limit for both appeals has ended. You can read Terre's afterthoughts on the fundraising process in an article published in the New York Times called "The New Busking". Like the poetry in her music, the article is personal reflection. It describes the new reality for artists who make music in the age of social media.
The video below is a preview of what we have been accomplishing thanks to the support of those who donated.
